I am Alison Cooksey, a licensed clinical social worker in beautiful Coeur d'Alene, ID. In my practice I work with individuals and couples, providing a safe environment to explore the complexities of being human. I am particularly passionate about relationships, as I truly believe these dynamics are some of the biggest forces in our lives, whether they are romantic, platonic, or familial. I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach to ensure individualized care, with a focus on a person-centered and strengths-based perspective. In couples therapy, I practice Gottman Methods Couple Therapy as a Certified Gottman Therapist and use this as a framework for sessions centered around relationships. As your therapist, I will walk alongside you in exploring healing, increasing relationship satisfaction, and growing the connection with yourself and with others.
